Size shown is after laundering. All sizes are approximate as shrinkage is rarely uniform (right guys?).
Cotton shrinks. It's a fact of life.
Shrinkage varies. It depends on your laundering equipment and methods. The higher the heat in the wash/dry process, the more severe the shrinkage.
Just like teenagers, cotton shrinkage can't be uniformly controlled. After laundering, you might find it shrinks more on one side than another. We call that character.
The good news? They get bigger and better with age. New products are stiffer and less absorbent than the same product after having been laundered many times. Some of the shrinkage might go away too. Bonus!
100% Cotton Napkins are the cream of the napkin crop. Other napkins with polyester fibers don't absorb or clean nearly as well as our all cotton napkins. Those yucky polyester napkins feel like grandpa's old polyester pants. Knarly and rough.
Don't use grandpa's old polyester pants for napkins!
This is a cloth napkin that actually absorbs and doesn't just smear stuff around. That's because it is made from Mercerized cotton. This is a fancy, smancy process invented in the 1800's to give cotton more luster and as a side effect, make it more absorbent. Nifty. You will need to press or iron these after washing as they are 100% cotton.
These gorgeous momie weave cloth napkins can also be used to showcase your embroidery and screen printing.
Best Practice: Wash and iron before using the first time.
Napkins have been starched for processing. When you receive them they will feel a little stiff and look a little shiny. Launder napkins to make this go away. They ARE 100% cotton.
Nothing fancy just great institutional/restaurant quality napkins that have been mercerized making them more durable, more absorbent, lower lint and dye friendly. Eco-friendly alternative to disposable napkins. Also great as cleaning wipes, extremely low lint. Surprisingly Nice!
